Daisycon feed for Shopify
Daisycon is an affiliate network based in Almere, the Netherlands: nobody buys on Daisycon. It imports your product feed into its product database, and publishers such as comparison sites and content sites build their own feeds from it and place tracked links. Daisycon takes a hosted feed URL and nothing else. Feedflock turns your Shopify catalog into a CSV in Daisycon's General standard and keeps it current on a stable URL, regenerated as often as every hour.

The price is the one you charge. The old one goes in price_old.
Daisycon asks for the lowest price at which the product is available in price, and the original, higher price in price_old while a discount runs. That is the reverse of the Google habit of a full price plus a sale price, and easy to get backwards. Feedflock fills price_old from your compare-at price and leaves it empty when a product is not on sale, so price always carries what the customer actually pays.
Catch feed issues before Daisycon does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.
Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Have a Daisycon programme and contact
You need an advertiser programme with Daisycon and a named contact person there. The contact is who receives your feed URL and who sets the standard, language and locale for it on Daisycon's side.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Pick the Daisycon template
Create a new feed and choose Daisycon. The six mandatory fields (title, description, sku, price, link and image) are mapped from the start, along with brand, ean, in_stock, category and the rest of the General standard: one row per variant, 22 columns.
Fill what only you can decide
price_shipping and delivery_time ship empty, because both are promises only you can make. Delivery time is a whole number of days: 2, not "2-4 days". google_category_id and gender_target also wait for your mapping.
Send the feed URL to your Daisycon contact
There is no self-service feed form. Send the hosted URL to your Daisycon contact person and tell them the standard is General and the format is CSV. Daisycon does not process static files or manual uploads, so the URL is the whole handover.

Publishers sell for you
Daisycon connects your product data with publishers: comparison sites, product-listing ads and content sites that promote your products for a commission. Your feed is the raw material for every one of them.
One feed in, many feeds out
Publishers never download your file. Daisycon imports it into its product database and generates each publisher's feed from there, so one clean, complete source feed pays off across the whole network.
A public, complete standard
Daisycon documents its feed standards openly: a field table per standard, six mandatory fields stated the same way twice, and a field-type legend for every value. Feedflock's template is written straight against the General standard.
The feed
- The General standard's own field names in the header row, the standard Daisycon recommends when no industry-specific one applies
- All six mandatory fields mapped from the start: title, description, sku, price, link and image
- price carries the current selling price and price_old the original one, in Daisycon's direction, empty when there is no discount
- Bare dot-decimal numbers with no currency or other characters, exactly as the DECIMAL field type asks
- in_stock as the literal true or false, with the stock count in in_stock_amount
- Plain, variant-pinned links without UTM tagging and descriptions without HTML, both as Daisycon's own tips ask
- category_path with pipe separators, built from your Shopify standard category
- A continuously available feed URL, regenerated as often as every hour, with fetch tracking that shows when the feed was last downloaded
Deep dive
A hosted URL, and nothing else
- Daisycon takes a feed
URLonly: no static files, no manual uploads - The
URLgoes to your Daisycon contact person, not into a form - The feed
URLshould stay continuously available and be updated regularly - No fetch cadence, item cap or file-size cap is published
Technical details
Daisycon is unusually explicit about transport. You send the URL of your product feed to your Daisycon contact person, and Daisycon does not process static files or manually uploaded product feeds. A hosted URL is not one option among several here. It is the only one, and it is exactly what Feedflock serves.
Daisycon asks that the feed URL remains continuously available and that the product data is updated regularly. How often it fetches is not stated, and neither is any item or file-size cap. Feedflock regenerates the feed as often as every hour on a stable URL, so whenever the fetch happens it reads current prices and stock. One thing nobody can automate: because the handover is to a person, the only confirmation that the feed was accepted is your contact's.
The General standard and the mandatory six
- Daisycon publishes 22 feed standards; General is for when no industry-specific one applies
- Mandatory in every one: title, description, unique ID (
SKU), price, deeplink and image - The standard, language and locale are bound to the feed on Daisycon's side, not written in the file
- Two feeds with the same programme, standard, language and locale are merged into one dataset
Technical details
Daisycon publishes 22 product feed standards, from Fashion and Electronics to Books and Daily offers, and asks you to pick the one that fits most of your products. General is the standard for when no industry-specific one applies, and it is the one every Shopify catalog can fill, so it is the one Feedflock's template implements. Its mandatory set is stated twice and identically: title, description, unique ID (SKU), price, deeplink to the product and image.
Four things are bound to the feed rather than written into it: the programme, the standard, the language and the locale. That is why the file has no language column and no currency column. It also has a consequence worth knowing: if two of your feeds share the same combination of all four, Daisycon combines their products in one dataset and publishers cannot select either source feed separately. One feed per programme, language and locale keeps things clean.
Field types: how every value is written
DECIMAL: a point as the decimal separator, no other charactersBOOLEAN: true, false or empty, never 1/0 or yes/noINT: a bare whole number, so delivery_time is 2, not "2-4 days"VARCHAR: short text, a maximum of 255 bytes
Technical details
Daisycon's field-type legend is the whole grammar of the feed. A DECIMAL is a numerical value with decimals separated by a point and no other characters, so prices go out as 49.00 with no symbol and no currency code. A BOOLEAN accepts only true, false or empty, which is why in_stock is the literal lowercase word. An INT is a bare whole number: delivery_time is the delivery time in days, and in_stock_amount the number of units on hand.
Short text fields are VARCHAR, limited to 255 bytes. Note the unit: bytes, not characters, so a title rich in accented letters reaches the limit sooner than its character count suggests. Daisycon also follows the EAN-13 standard for the ean field and says its system validates lengths of 8, 12, 13 and 14 digits, so the barcodes Shopify stores, UPC and GTIN-14 included, fit as they are.
Prices, categories and images
- price is the lowest price the product is available at; price_old the original price during a discount
- category is one label, category_path a pipe-separated path, google_category_id the numeric Google ID
- Daisycon recommends the official Google product categories and warns against labels like "Home" or "All Products"
- The image column is named image; additional images are not in the
CSV
Technical details
Daisycon's price is the lowest price at which the product is available, the current selling price, and during a discount the original, higher price goes in price_old. Daisycon's own reasoning is that the mapping then survives the periods without a sale. Categories come in three optional forms: category for the main category, category_path for the full path separated by pipes, and google_category_id for the numeric Google ID. The template fills category from your Shopify product type and category_path from your Shopify standard category. google_category_id ships empty until you map it.
One name Daisycon does not settle is the image column: the General standard prints it as "default image", with a space, while many of its other standards call the same field image. The template uses image, in line with Daisycon's own advice to name fields in lower case with underscores, and because your contact maps the columns by hand, a different preference is a one-line e-mail. Additional images are not emitted: Daisycon names no column for them, and its CSV export to publishers contains only the default image anyway.
The takeaway
One URL, an hourly refresh and a CSV in Daisycon's General standard: the mandatory six mapped, prices in Daisycon's direction, every value written the way its field type asks. Send the link to your contact once, and your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth for every publisher in the network.
