Register your shop on Biano
Create a shop account in Biano's e-shop administration. Registration is free; paid promotion runs on cost per click, priced by category.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Pick the Biano template
Create a new feed and choose the Biano template. The six required elements (ITEM_ID, PRODUCTNAME, DESCRIPTION, URL, IMGURL and PRICE_VAT) are already mapped, one item per variant.
Check names, descriptions and dimensions
Biano categorises from the name, the description and the photos, not from a category element. Make names specific, and map width, height, length, depth or diameter to Biano's lowercase dimension parameters.
Paste the feed URL
Copy the hosted feed URL into your Biano administration. Biano fetches it every four hours; the first automatic categorisation takes two to four days.

Biano is built for furniture and home decoration. Visitors arrive looking for a specific piece for a specific space and narrow it down by material, size and colour, exactly what a well-filled feed carries.

No category mapping to maintain

Biano assigns categories itself from your names, descriptions and photos. A precise name (jídelní židle rather than židle) gets a product onto the site faster, without a category tree to keep in sync.

Discounts from real price history

Biano works out discounts from the price history it stores for each product, not from a sale field in the feed. Send your real current price every time and the discount labels follow.

The feed

The Biano template maps the six required elements out of the box, with DESCRIPTION in CDATA and stripped of HTML, as Biano asks for minimal formatting
One item per variant, with the variant title added to the name so each offer names its own colour or size
Parameter hints for Biano's five dimensions (šířka, výška, délka, hloubka, průměr), written lowercase, ready for values like 160 cm

How the Biano XML feed works

Technical details

Biano takes a Heureka-shaped XML file from a public URL, one SHOPITEM per variant, and fetches it every four hours. After the first import, automatic categorisation takes two to four days. Feedflock hosts the file on a stable URL and regenerates it every hour, so each fetch reads current prices and stock.

Two behaviours are worth knowing. Biano advertises every item it finds in the feed, and muting a product in the Biano administration does not stop traffic from the Biano network; taking it out of the feed does. And an empty feed does not pause anything: Biano treats it as a failed load and keeps showing the last working version.

The elements Biano expects

Technical details

Biano publishes its own, shorter element list. Required are ITEM_ID, PRODUCTNAME, DESCRIPTION, URL, IMGURL and PRICE_VAT; optional are ITEMGROUP_ID, MANUFACTURER, IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE, DELIVERY, DELIVERY_DATE and PARAM. PRICE_VAT is the price including VAT exactly as on your site, with no thousands separator and a dot only as the decimal point.

The URL must be unique within the feed and no longer than 300 characters, and Biano adds its own UTM tags. Keep it stable: a changed URL makes Biano treat the product as new and categorise it again. The template links each variant with its own ?variant= URL, so the landing page always shows the price Biano listed.

No category element, on purpose

Technical details

Unlike Heureka, Biano has no category element. It categorises every product itself from the name, the description and the photos, and the category list it publishes carries the minimum click price per category rather than paths to send. The more specific the name, the faster the product lands: jídelní židle rather than židle.

Descriptions work the same way: Biano derives its main filters (material, size and colour) from the text. Keep it to product facts, without links to your shop, shipping details or promotions; the template strips HTML so only the text arrives.

Images, dimensions and delivery

Main image: JPEG, at least 400 × 400 px, https, light background, no logos, watermarks or sale texts
Each image is downloaded once, so a new picture needs a new URL, which Shopify's versioned image URLs provide
Dimensions go in lowercase PARAMs (šířka, výška, délka, hloubka, průměr) as a number, a space and m, cm or mm
DELIVERY_DATE 0 is the only value that earns Skladem; a delivery price of 0 shows Doprava zdarma

Technical details

The main image must be a JPEG of at least 400 × 400 px over https, on a white or light background, with no logos, watermarks or sale texts; otherwise Biano does not display it. Colour and size variants each need their own picture. Biano downloads every image once, so a new picture needs a new URL, which Shopify's versioned image URLs provide.

Dimensions belong in separate lowercase PARAMs (šířka, výška, délka, hloubka, průměr), written as a number, a space and a unit in m, cm or mm, such as 160 cm. DELIVERY_DATE counts days until the goods reach the customer, and only 0 earns the Skladem label. In the DELIVERY block, any carrier priced at 0 shows Biano's Doprava zdarma label.

Remove it from the feed with a Feedflock exclusion by collection, tag or product. Muting in the Biano administration does not stop traffic from the Biano network. Sold-out variants are excluded automatically and come back with the next hourly regeneration once they are in stock.

Yes. Biano asks for the same ID in the feed, the Biano Pixel and Google Analytics. The template defaults ITEM_ID to the variant SKU, falling back to the Shopify variant ID, so set the pixel up to send the same value.
