Glami feed for Shopify

Glami is a fashion search engine founded in Czechia and running across Europe, where shoppers filter clothing, shoes and accessories by size, colour, brand and price. Feedflock turns your Shopify catalog into a Glami-ready XML feed with one item per size and keeps it current every hour, so Glami only ever shows sizes you can actually ship.

CPC rules

Raise the bid above your base, only where you want to.

GLAMI_CPC is an absolute bid in the market's currency, and it only counts above the base bid you set in GLAMI Partner. So the base covers the catalogue and rules lift chosen products: a condition and a bid, first match wins. A product no rule matches goes out without GLAMI_CPC and stays on the base bid.

In the app a rule can test collection, product type, vendor, tag, price, purchase cost or a metafield, and its value can be a fixed amount, a metafield or Liquid, so a bid can follow your margin too.

Feed health

Catch feed issues before Glami does.

Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.

Setup

Live in five steps

From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.

  1. Register in GLAMI Partner

Create a shop account in GLAMI Partner for the country you sell in. Setup is free; you pay per click and set your base bid there.

  2. Install Feedflock

Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.

  3. Pick the Glami template and market

Create a new feed, choose the Glami template and select the country. The market sets the currency, the language and the Glami.xx prefix in CATEGORYTEXT; the nine mandatory elements and the size parameter come pre-mapped.

  4. Map your categories

Assign your product types to Glami's own category tree; for Czechia, Slovakia, Greece and Croatia it is built into the app. The path carries the gender, and the coverage check lists anything left unmapped.

  5. Paste the feed URL

Copy the hosted feed URL into GLAMI Partner. Glami downloads it every hour and Feedflock regenerates it every hour; the first categorisation of a new shop takes at least five business days.

The channel

Built around fashion

Glami grew up as a fashion search engine: its category tree is split into women's, men's and children's clothing, shoes and accessories, and shoppers arrive looking for a garment in their size. Your offers compete on style, not on a generic price grid.

Filters that match how people shop for clothes

Glami categorises and tags offers from the product name, the category path, the description and the main photo. Precise names, colour and material attributes and a clean product-only image put your items into more filtered searches.

Ranking you can work on

Position depends on your click bid, order-based popularity and feed quality: all mandatory elements, sizes in stock, deep categories, filter parameters, professional photos. The GLAMI piXel ties clicks to orders so you see what each click brought back.

The feed

  • The Glami template maps all nine mandatory elements, with the size option sent as a PARAM and a readiness warning on every item still missing a size
  • Every size is its own SHOPITEM with a unique ITEM_ID, grouped under one ITEMGROUP_ID, exactly as Glami's spec asks
  • Sold-out sizes leave the feed by default; a size you sell on backorder stays in
  • Glami's own category tree for Czechia, Slovakia, Greece and Croatia, with the market prefix in every CATEGORYTEXT and a coverage check for gaps
  • The barcode goes out as GTIN (Glami's element), not the EAN tag Heureka feeds use, and MANUFACTURER is left out for unbranded products as the spec asks
  • ITEM_ID defaults to the variant SKU. Use the same value in the GLAMI piXel and conversion tracking holds together

Deep dive

01

How the Glami XML feed works

  • One XML file on a public URL that Glami downloads every hour
  • Every size and colour is its own SHOPITEM with a unique ITEM_ID, grouped by ITEMGROUP_ID
  • Sold-out products and sold-out sizes must not appear in the feed at all
  • A feed that stays broken for 48 hours gets the shop hidden until it is fixed
Technical details

Glami downloads one XML file from a public URL every hour. Unlike a price comparison feed, every size and every colour is its own SHOPITEM with a unique ITEM_ID, linked to its siblings by a shared ITEMGROUP_ID. Sold-out products and sold-out sizes must not appear in the feed at all; DELIVERY_DATE only says whether an item ships now or in a number of days.

Feedflock renders the feed per variant, leaves unavailable sizes out by default and regenerates the file every hour on a stable URL, so Glami's hourly download always reads current stock. That matters for more than accuracy: when Glami cannot read a feed it emails an error report, and if the feed is still broken after 48 hours the shop is hidden until it is fixed.

02

The elements Glami expects

  • Nine mandatory elements, from ITEM_ID to the size sent as a PARAM
  • The barcode element is GTIN, not the EAN tag Heureka uses
  • No size in PRODUCTNAME: with a size in the name Glami will not activate the shop
  • PRICE_VAT without currency or thousands separators; optional GLAMI_CPC raises the bid per item
Technical details

Nine elements are mandatory: ITEM_ID, PRODUCTNAME, URL, IMGURL, PRICE_VAT, MANUFACTURER, CATEGORYTEXT, DELIVERY_DATE and the size sent as a PARAM. The barcode element is GTIN, not the EAN tag Heureka uses. PRODUCTNAME must not contain the size (Glami will not activate a shop that puts it there), which is why the template uses your plain product title and sends the size separately.

PRICE_VAT is the final price with VAT, with no currency and no thousands separator; Glami assigns the currency from the country. Optional GLAMI_CPC sets a per-item click bid as a plain amount, and it only counts when it is higher than the base bid you set in GLAMI Partner.

03

Gender lives in the category path

  • Glami has no gender element: CATEGORYTEXT carries it
  • The path is as deep as possible, with one kind of product per leaf
  • Glami's own export writes every path with the market prefix, such as Glami.cz | Pánské oblečení a obuv | Pánské oblečení | Pánské košile
  • The app ships Glami's trees for CZ, SK, GR and HR; other markets take a typed path
Technical details

Glami has no gender element: CATEGORYTEXT is where it learns whether a product is for women, men, girls or boys. The path should be as deep as possible with one kind of product per leaf. A combined leaf like dresses and skirts lands the product somewhere useless.

Glami's own category export writes every path with the market prefix, for example Glami.cz | Pánské oblečení a obuv | Pánské oblečení | Pánské košile, and the template keeps it. Feedflock carries Glami's published trees for Czechia, Slovakia, Greece and Croatia; for the other markets, where Glami publishes no export, you type the path.

04

Sizes, images and the GLAMI piXel

  • Size values come from closed, case-sensitive lists: 38 or XL, with the sizing system in size_system when it is not EU or INT
  • Main IMGURL shows the product alone on a light background, at least 500 × 500 px; model shots belong in IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE
  • Glami imports each image once and re-fetches it only when the URL changes, which Shopify's versioned image URLs handle
  • ITEM_ID and PRODUCTNAME must match what the GLAMI piXel sends
Technical details

Size values come from closed, case-sensitive lists: you send the bare value (38, XL, One size for accessories) and the sizing system separately in size_system whenever it is not EU or INT. Feedflock sends each variant's size option as its own PARAM and leaves the value as you wrote it in Shopify, so the option values are where to get it right.

The main IMGURL shows the product alone on a white or light background, at least 500 × 500 px, with no watermark or text; model shots go to IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE. Glami imports each image once and re-fetches it only when its URL changes, which Shopify's versioned image URLs do for you. Just make sure your image host does not block Glami's crawler. If you use the GLAMI piXel, its item IDs must equal ITEM_ID; the template defaults ITEM_ID to the variant SKU.

The takeaway

One URL, an hourly refresh and a template that already speaks Glami's per-variant XML, sizes, gender paths and all. Your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth, and Glami only shows the sizes you can actually ship.

FAQ

Registration and feed setup are free. You pay per click: the base bid is set in GLAMI Partner, and GLAMI_CPC in the feed can raise it for individual items.
Yes. Glami's feed is per variant: each size and colour is a separate SHOPITEM with its own ITEM_ID, grouped by ITEMGROUP_ID, and each carries exactly one size. Listing several sizes in one value is one of Glami's named mistakes.
It must leave the feed, because Glami has no sold-out value. Feedflock excludes unavailable variants by default, and the size comes back with the next hourly regeneration once Shopify has stock again. A size you sell on backorder stays in.
Yes, with one feed per country. The template sets the currency, language and Glami.xx prefix per market, and with Shopify Markets it picks up local prices and translations. Italy is the exception: Glami runs it as Stileo, which has its own template.
Not for the listing itself, but without it you see clicks, not orders. If you install it, the item IDs it sends must equal ITEM_ID in the feed. The template's default is the variant SKU, so configure the piXel the same way.
The usual causes are a model shot or a busy background in the main IMGURL, a watermark, or an image host that blocks Glami's crawler. Glami also keeps the first image it imported until the URL changes; Shopify gives a replaced image a new URL automatically.
