Pricemania feed for Shopify
Pricemania.sk is a Slovak price comparison site whose feed looks Heureka-shaped at first glance but speaks its own vocabulary: lowercase elements, texts in CDATA, a numeric availability code and a flat shipping price instead of carrier lists. It pairs offers by name, category and manufacturer together, and anything ambiguous falls out of comparison into full-text search. Feedflock builds the Pricemania feed from your Shopify catalog on a dedicated template and serves it as the static file Pricemania insists on.

Your product types. The channel's categories.
The channel files offers under its own category tree. Feedflock suggests a category for each Shopify product type and you just confirm. One mapping covers every product of that type, including products you add later.
A bid per product, in euro, with a decimal comma.
CPC is an optional per-product bid for Pricemania's PPC programmes. Pricemania's own examples write it with a decimal comma, like 0,24. Set it with rules: a condition and a bid, first match wins. A product no rule matches goes out without the CPC element at all, which is exactly right for a shop that does not bid.
In the app a rule can test collection, product type, vendor, tag, price, purchase cost or a metafield, and its value can be a fixed amount, a metafield or Liquid, so a bid can follow your margin too.
Catch feed issues before Pricemania does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.
Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Register and pick a programme
Sign your shop up with Pricemania. The free Partner programme lists products in full-text search only; price comparison needs Promo (0,10 € per click) or Premium (from 0,20 €), with a minimum credit of 50 €.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and, with Shopify Markets, your Slovak euro prices and translations.
Pick the Pricemania template
Not a renamed Heureka feed: lowercase element names, CDATA texts, the numeric availability code and a single shipping price. All ten required elements, from id to availability, are mapped from the start.
Map to the Pricemania tree
Match your product types to the Pricemania.sk category tree, synced in the app. The category goes out as the full path with “ > ” separators, exactly as Pricemania's FAQ asks, down to the deepest level.
Paste the feed URL
Copy the hosted URL into Pricemania's administration under Správa XML feedu. Feedflock serves a pre-generated static file, the only form Pricemania accepts, and rebuilds it on your schedule.

The channel
A Slovak comparator with paid placement
Price comparison on Pricemania is a paid position: Promo at 0,10 € per click or Premium from 0,20 €. The free Partner programme covers full-text search only, so the programme you pick decides where your offers appear.
Pairing on three fields at once
Pricemania pairs by name, category and manufacturer together, helped by EAN and part number. An offer with all three filled lands on the shared product card; an ambiguous one quietly drops to full-text search.
One feed shape, two markets
Pricemania runs a Czech sister site, pricemania.cz, that reads the same XML, just in CZK and against the Czech category tree. A Slovak feed is the template for both.
The feed
- A template written against Pricemania's own specification: lowercase element names, texts in CDATA, one <product> per variant and every tag exactly once, as the spec requires
- name built from product and variant title so variants do not collide, and id on the Shopify variant ID: unique, immutable and within the 32-character limit
- manufacturer uppercased automatically, with the mandatory “N/A” when your Shopify vendor is empty
- The numeric availability code derived from Shopify stock: on hand → 0, backordered → 14, sold out → 100 (hidden, not rejected)
- Categories mapped onto the Pricemania.sk tree synced in the app: 3,573 real paths that go out verbatim with “ > ” separators
- A pre-generated static XML file on a stable URL (Pricemania refuses feeds generated on the fly), with fetch tracking that shows when Pricemania last downloaded it
- CPC bids by rule, in euro with the decimal comma Pricemania's examples use; products without a rule go out without the element
Deep dive
Heureka-shaped, but its own vocabulary
- Root <products>, one <product> per variant. There is no variant grouping
- Lowercase element names (name, picture, id) where Heureka uses
PRODUCTNAME,IMGURL,ITEM_ID - Texts in
CDATA; every tag exactly once per product, parameters unlimited inside <params> - Pairing by name + category + manufacturer, sped up by
EANand part_number
Technical details
Pricemania's feed looks familiar if you know Heureka, but the names differ everywhere: name instead of PRODUCTNAME, picture instead of IMGURL, a numeric availability code instead of DELIVERY_DATE. Ten elements are required (name, description, price, category, manufacturer, url, picture, shipping, availability and id), and without them the feed is not processed at all.
Pairing is stricter than a single name key: name, category and manufacturer all have to be unambiguous, and EAN or part_number speeds the matching up. Stability matters too: Pricemania warns that any change to a product's URL unpairs the offer and re-pairing can take a long while. Feedflock keeps id on the Shopify variant ID and deep-links every variant, so the identifiers never move.
Money, shipping and the availability code
- price is the final
EURprice incl.VAT, excl. shipping, dot decimal, no thousands separators - shipping is one bare number: your lowest rate, 0 shows as “doprava zdarma”, never the word “zdarma”
- availability is a code: 0 immediately, 1 within 24 h, 2 within 48 h, 3–49 days, 50 info in shop, 100 unavailable
- An unknown availability value is not rejected: the offer degrades to “info in shop”; 100 hides it
Technical details
Pricemania is strict about how money looks: the price must be a bare number in euro including VAT and recycling fees, without shipping, with a dot for decimals and no thousands separators: 330.97, not “2 150” or “1.990,00”. Shipping is a single scalar, your lowest rate; a 0 displays as free shipping, and spelling out “zdarma” is one of Pricemania's named errors.
Availability is a numeric code, not text: 0 for stock on hand, 1 and 2 for 24 and 48 hours, 3 to 49 for that many days, 50 for “info in shop” and 100 for unavailable, which hides the offer. Feedflock fills it from Shopify stock: on hand sends 0, a backorder 14, a sold-out variant 100.
A static file, fetched on Pricemania's schedule
- Pricemania refuses feeds generated on the fly when the
URLis called. It wants a staticXMLfile - It fetches several times a day, at least once per 24 hours; you cannot schedule the fetch yourself
- Feeds over 30 MB should ship a pricemania.crc checksum file next to the
XML - The spec says
UTF-8, the errors page says windows-1250; Feedflock follows the spec
Technical details
Pricemania is explicit: it does not accept an XML feed “generated on-line when the URL is called”, only a static file. That is exactly what Feedflock serves: a pre-generated XML on a stable URL, rebuilt on your schedule, as often as every hour, so every fetch picks up current prices and stock.
Pricemania downloads the file several times a day and at least once per 24 hours, with no way to set the hour yourself. One footnote to know: the spec asks for UTF-8 while the errors page mentions windows-1250. Feedflock follows the spec and ships UTF-8. And because pairing only starts a few days after your credit is paid, it pays to have the feed ready before the campaign.
The takeaway
A familiar shape with its own rules: lowercase elements, a numeric availability code, a flat shipping price and pairing on three fields at once. Feedflock keeps your Pricemania feed on the spec, served as the static file Pricemania wants, straight from Shopify.
