Shoparize feed for Shopify

Shoparize is an Amsterdam-based premium Google CSS partner: it runs your Shopping ads through its own Comparison Shopping Service across 21 European markets, and lists your catalog on Shoparize.com. Both are fed the same way: a product feed on a public URL, in the exact Google Shopping shape Shoparize's own guides build. Feedflock turns your Shopify catalog into that feed and regenerates it every hour.

Category mapping

Your product types. The channel's categories.

The channel files offers under its own category tree. Feedflock suggests a category for each Shopify product type and you just confirm. One mapping covers every product of that type, including products you add later.

Sale prices

A discount is two prices, and the ad shows both.

This feed follows Google's convention: while a product is on sale, g:price carries the regular compare-at price and g:sale_price the discounted one, and Shopping ads draw the strikethrough from the pair. Off sale, g:sale_price is simply left out; the price Shoparize's checklist checks against your product page is always the one your shop charges.

Feed health

Catch feed issues before Shoparize does.

Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.

Price without a currency code on 6 productsShoparize's checklist requires the price including the currency: the feed writes it as 49.00 EUR. A bare number fails the check.
Empty image URL on 4 productsAn image URL is one of the six fields Shoparize's checklist requires per product; without it the product does not get in.
Unescaped & in 3 titlesXML must escape & as &. Shoparize's own troubleshooting example is an unescaped ampersand breaking the import.
Availability empty on 5 productsShoparize wants availability stated as in stock, out of stock or on backorder; the feed sends Google's enum, which covers all three.

Setup

Live in five steps

From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.

  1. Start a Shoparize trial

Sign up at business.shoparize.com (self-serve, with a 30-day trial). Pick Premium CSS if you run your own Google Shopping campaigns, or Comparison Shopping for the listings on Shoparize.com.

  2. Install Feedflock

Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and prices directly through the Shopify API.

  3. Pick the Shoparize template

Create a feed from the Shoparize template: RSS 2.0 with Google's g: namespace, the shape Shoparize's own Shopify tutorial generates. All six fields its checklist requires (ID, title, product URL, image URL, price with currency, availability) are mapped from the start.

  4. Map your categories

Match your product types to Google's taxonomy for g:google_product_category, the taxonomy the CSS pipeline works with downstream.

  5. Submit the feed URL in the Partner Portal

During onboarding, paste the hosted feed URL into the Shoparize Partner Portal. The file must download with no login, cookie wall or CAPTCHA. Shoparize's own step 1 is to test the link in a private window.

The channel

More from every Shopping click

Shoparize is a premium Google CSS partner: run your Shopping ads through its CSS instead of Google Shopping Europe and the same budget buys more. Shoparize's own pitch is 25% more from every click, on a flat subscription.

A comparison site on top of the ads

The Comparison Shopping plan lists your catalog on Shoparize.com (2M+ monthly shoppers across 21 European markets) for €33 a month plus a commission per sale. One feed serves both products.

Pay-per-sale, if you'd rather not manage

Managed Ads hands the whole thing to Shoparize: they spend their own ad budget and you pay per sale. The feed you submit is the same either way.

The feed

  • RSS 2.0 with Google's g: namespace, the exact shape Shoparize's own Shopify tutorial builds, so the direct-integration checklist passes by construction
  • All six required fields mapped from the start: product ID, title, product URL, image URL, price with currency and availability
  • Prices go out in the form Shoparize quotes: amount, dot decimals and the ISO currency code (49.00 EUR)
  • Titles tell variants apart by default: product title plus variant title, so sizes and colours never share one name
  • Category mapping against Google's taxonomy for g:google_product_category, the taxonomy the CSS pipeline works with
  • Sale pricing handled Google's way: the compare-at price in g:price, the discounted one in g:sale_price, ready for the strikethrough in Shopping ads
  • A public URL hosted and regenerated every hour (no login, no cookie wall, exactly what Shoparize's fetcher demands), with fetch tracking that shows when it last downloaded the file

Deep dive

01

What Shoparize's checklist actually asks for

  • CSV, or XML with one repeated block per product, nothing else
  • Six required fields: Product ID or SKU, title, product page URL, image URL, price including currency, availability
  • Rejected outright: JSON, Google Sheets, PDFs, dashboards: anything behind a click
  • XML must escape & as & (Shoparize's own troubleshooting example)
Technical details

Shoparize's Product Feed Guide for Direct Integration is unusually concrete: to advertise your products it needs to connect automatically to a product feed on your website, and the fastest way through onboarding is to check the six required columns yourself before submitting the link. They are a subset of Google's required set, so a feed in the Google Shopping shape passes by construction.

That shape is the house format on purpose: Shoparize's own Shopify tutorial has the merchant generate RSS 2.0 with Google's g: namespace. The template Feedflock ships is exactly that document (one item per variant, g:-prefixed fields), and the checklist's named rejections (JSON, Google Sheets, anything behind a click) never apply to a hosted XML file.

02

One URL, no walls

  • The feed link is submitted in the Shoparize Partner Portal during onboarding
  • The file must download with no login, no cookie consent, no CAPTCHA and no click-through; each is a named rejection reason
  • Shoparize's own step 1: test the link in a private window
  • Fetch cadence is not stated anywhere public. Assume daily and ask your partner manager
Technical details

Shoparize's system downloads the feed automatically from the URL you submit in the Partner Portal, and its checklist names the four walls that make the fetcher walk away: a login, a cookie-consent gate, a CAPTCHA, a click-through page. Its own first troubleshooting step is to open the link in a private window: if you see anything but the raw file, so will the fetcher.

A Feedflock feed is a plain public file on a stable URL, so there is nothing to whitelist and nothing to click through. How often Shoparize re-fetches afterwards is not published anywhere; Feedflock regenerates the file every hour, so whenever the fetch comes, it reads current prices and stock.

03

Three plans, one feed

  • Premium CSS: a flat subscription: Shopping ads through Shoparize's CSS, “25% more from every Google Shopping click”
  • Comparison Shopping: €33 a month plus commission: listings on Shoparize.com, 2M+ monthly shoppers, 21 European markets
  • Managed Ads: pay-per-sale with Shoparize's own ad budget
  • Self-serve 30-day trials; partner@shoparize.com for questions
Technical details

Shoparize sells three products off the same feed. Premium CSS is the flat-subscription Comparison Shopping Service: your Google Shopping ads run through Shoparize's CSS instead of Google Shopping Europe. Comparison Shopping is the marketplace play: listings on Shoparize.com for €33 a month plus a commission per sale, across the 21 European markets its site operates in.

Managed Ads is the hands-off option: Shoparize spends its own ad budget and bills you per sale. All three read the same product feed, so the plan is a commercial choice you can revisit; the feed work is done once.

04

Why the Google shape is the right one

  • The CSS pipeline runs through Google regardless: the pairing key, identifiers and enums are Google's
  • gtin, brand and Google's category fields ride along in the same file
  • Sale pricing follows Google's convention: compare-at in g:price, discounted in g:sale_price
  • The same template structure serves all 21 markets; what changes is the currency and language
Technical details

A CSS is not a separate ad network: the ads still run in Google Shopping, the CSS is the entity they run through. That is why Shoparize's required six are a subset of Google's required set, why availability speaks Google's enum, and why the feed that serves Shoparize is the feed that serves Merchant Center: the same file can do both jobs.

The rest of Google's vocabulary rides along usefully: gtin and brand strengthen matching, g:google_product_category targets the taxonomy the pipeline works with, and a discounted product sends its compare-at price in g:price with the selling price in g:sale_price, the pair Shopping ads draw the strikethrough from. Across the 21 markets the structure never changes; only the currency and language the feed starts with do.

The takeaway

One feed in the exact shape Shoparize's own guides build: Google's RSS 2.0 with the six required fields mapped, prices with their currency code, on a public URL that never asks for a login. Pick the plan that fits; the feed work is done once.

FAQ

A premium Google CSS partner based in Amsterdam (Rokin 115). It offers three products off one product feed: Premium CSS (your Shopping ads run through its Comparison Shopping Service on a flat subscription), Comparison Shopping (listings on Shoparize.com) and Managed Ads (pay-per-sale campaigns on Shoparize's own ad budget).
Shoparize's own market list covers 21 European countries: the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. One feed structure serves them all; what changes is the currency and language.
Per the published pricing: Premium CSS is a flat subscription, Comparison Shopping is €33 per month plus a commission per sale, and Managed Ads is pay-per-sale with Shoparize's ad budget. All three start with a self-serve 30-day trial; questions go to partner@shoparize.com.
CSV, or XML with one repeated block per product. Explicitly rejected: JSON, Google Sheets, PDFs and dashboards. The template Feedflock ships is RSS 2.0 with Google's g: namespace, the exact shape Shoparize's own Shopify tutorial generates, and its six required fields are a subset of Google's, so the checklist passes by construction.
The checklist names four reasons: the file asks for a login, shows a cookie-consent wall, presents a CAPTCHA, or hides behind a click-through. Shoparize's own first step is to test the link in a private browser window. A Feedflock feed is a plain public file on a stable URL, so none of the four applies.
Shoparize does not state its fetch cadence anywhere public. Assume daily and confirm with your partner manager if your prices change faster. Feedflock regenerates the file every hour on the same URL, so every fetch, whenever it comes, reads current prices and stock.
Yes, that is the point of the format. Shoparize's six required fields are a subset of Google's required set and the CSS pipeline runs through Google anyway, so a Google Shopping feed passes the checklist as is. The Shoparize template in Feedflock shares the Google Merchant Center template's structure, so one setup can serve both.
