KuantoKusta feed for Shopify
KuantoKusta is Portugal's leading price-comparison site, and since it added marketplace mode, a selling channel too: one XML feed carries your catalog, prices and stock, while orders in marketplace mode come back through KuantoKusta's separate seller API. Feedflock builds that feed from your Shopify catalog on a template written against KuantoKusta's official partner plugin, and regenerates it every hour on a stable public URL.

A discount is two prices, both with VAT.
Every KuantoKusta offer carries two prices: regular_price as the list price and current_price as the selling price it compares and ranks on, both in euro, both including VAT, dot decimal, no symbol. Feedflock derives regular_price from Shopify's compare-at price only when it is higher, so the pair can never invert.
One photo reaches the feed.
KuantoKusta's official partner plugin sends one photo per product in its free version; a gallery of up to five exists only in its paid Pro add-on. The feed writes the single main image (image_url), so anything beyond the first photo stays on your Shopify for now.
Catch feed issues before KuantoKusta does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.
Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Open your KuantoKusta account
Register at mystore.kuantokusta.pt. That is where the feed's URL goes and where KuantoKusta imports your offers; in marketplace mode, orders arrive through KuantoKusta's separate seller API.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Pick the KuantoKusta template
The template is authored for marketplace mode: mode, id_product, product_url, designation, both prices, stock_qty and the Y/N flag are mapped from the start: one <product> per variant, with the variant in the name and in the URL.
Set shipping_cost and the day counts
KuantoKusta requires a shipping value on every product, and 0 means free, so the template ships shipping_cost empty on purpose rather than advertising free delivery you never offered. preparation_days_max and delivery_days_max start at 1 and 3; adjust them to what your shop actually promises.
Hand over the feed URL
Paste the hosted URL into your KuantoKusta account. KuantoKusta pulls the file itself (in pages, with TOTAL_PRODUTOS and LIMIT arguments), and Feedflock answers every fetch with the whole, freshly regenerated catalog.

The channel
Where Portugal compares prices
KuantoKusta is Portugal's dominant price-comparison site, and marketplace mode turns the listing into a selling channel: the same feed that wins the comparison also keeps your marketplace offers in stock and on price.
Ranked on the landed price
Every offer carries its own shipping_cost, and KuantoKusta compares offers on what the customer actually pays. An accurate shipping value is a competitive weapon here, not a formality.
Pairing runs on the barcode
KuantoKusta matches offers to its catalog by EAN and brand, so a well-kept barcode field puts your price next to every competitor's. A missing one can delay the listing or keep the offer unpaired.
The feed
- A template written against KuantoKusta's official partner plugin: the same element names, the same CDATA set, marketplace mode with stock_qty and the Y/N flag
- One <product> per variant: designation carries the variant title and product_url deep-links the variant, so no two offers look identical
- The untracked-inventory trap handled: stock_qty falls back to 1 while a variant is sellable, and stock_availability always agrees with it
- shipping_cost ships empty rather than 0. A silent zero would advertise free shipping you never offered, on a site that ranks by landed price
- regular_price is the compare-at price only when it is higher, so current_price ≤ regular_price always holds
- Hosted on a stable URL and regenerated every hour, so every fetch KuantoKusta makes reads current prices and stock
Deep dive
One URL that KuantoKusta pulls: in pages
- One public
XMLURL, no password; KuantoKusta fetches it itself - It paginates: ?
TOTAL_PRODUTOS=1000&LIMIT=0, then 1000, 2000, until a page comes back empty - Feedflock serves the whole catalog on every page. Fine for small shops, worth confirming with KuantoKusta for very large ones
- No fetch cadence is published; hourly regeneration keeps every fetch fresh
Technical details
KuantoKusta reads one public XML URL (no authentication) and it reads it in pages: its fetcher adds TOTAL_PRODUTOS (the page size) and LIMIT (the offset) to the URL and keeps asking until a page comes back empty.
Feedflock serves a pre-rendered file, so it answers every page request with the whole catalog. For a small or mid-sized shop that simply works. KuantoKusta publishes no fetch schedule, which is why Feedflock regenerates the file every hour on the same URL, so whenever the crawler comes, the data is at most an hour old.
Two prices, always with VAT
- regular_price is the list price, current_price the selling price KuantoKusta ranks on
- Both in euro, both including
VAT, dot decimal, no currency symbol - current_price should be the lower one. The template's default guarantees it
Technical details
Every offer carries two prices: regular_price, the list price, and current_price, the selling price KuantoKusta compares and ranks on. Both are in euro, both include VAT, with a dot as the decimal separator and no currency symbol anywhere in the file.
current_price should never exceed regular_price. KuantoKusta evidently tolerates an inverted pair rather than rejecting it (the official plugin corrects it only for shops that opt in), but Feedflock's default derives regular_price as the compare-at price only when it is higher, so the pair cannot invert.
Stock is a number and a flag that must agree
- stock_qty is an integer quantity; stock_availability is exactly Y or N
- The flag follows the quantity: above zero is Y, zero is N
- A sold-out variant stays in the feed with 0 and N
- Untracked Shopify inventory reports 0. The template falls back to 1 while sellable
Technical details
In marketplace mode, availability is two elements that must agree: stock_qty, an integer quantity, and stock_availability, exactly Y or N. KuantoKusta requires a numeric stock value for every product, and a sold-out variant stays in the feed: it simply reads 0 and N.
The trap is untracked inventory: Shopify reports a quantity of 0 for a variant whose stock it does not track, so a raw mapping would ship 0 and N for goods that are perfectly sellable, and KuantoKusta would drop them. Feedflock's default mirrors the official plugin's answer: tracked variants report their real quantity, untracked ones report 1 while they are sellable, and the flag always agrees.
One shipping number: zero means free
- shipping_cost is one per-product value, incl. tax, in euro
- 0 means free shipping, which is why the template ships it empty
- preparation_days_max and delivery_days_max are two separate legs: making the order, then delivering it
- No carrier list, no
CODprice, no free-above threshold anywhere in the feed
Technical details
Logistics on KuantoKusta is one number per product: shipping_cost, including tax, in euro. KuantoKusta requires the value on every product, and 0 means free shipping, so the template deliberately ships it empty rather than letting a silent zero advertise free delivery you never offered.
Two day counts complete the picture: preparation_days_max, the days before a product ships, and delivery_days_max, the carrier leg after that. There is no carrier vocabulary, no cash-on-delivery price and no free-above threshold anywhere in the feed. A real shipping table collapses into that one number, so make it a number your pricing can live with.
The takeaway
One URL, an hourly refresh and an XML structure taken from KuantoKusta's own partner plugin: every variant its own offer, both prices with VAT, stock as a number and a flag that agree. Your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth, and KuantoKusta always reads what your shop actually sells.
