Split one size into separate dimensions

A size kept in one variant option or metafield, such as 160 × 230 cm, can now go out as separate parameters: šířka 160 cm and délka 230 cm. That is how Biano reads dimensions, and so do the furniture filters on Zboží and Heureka.

Many shops keep a product's size in one place: a variant option called Rozměr with values like 160 × 230 cm, or a single metafield. Biano reads dimensions only as separate parameters, and its review of our feeds put it plainly: a 160 × 230 cm rug should arrive as šířka 160 cm and délka 230 cm. The furniture filters on Zboží and Heureka work the same way, so a combined value never made it into any of them.

A parameter row can now split that value. In a feed's Parameters panel, choose Split a size into dimensions, pick the variant option or the product or variant metafield that holds the size, and list the parameter names in order, separated by commas: šířka, délka. The first number goes to the first name, the second to the second and so on, so a wardrobe can just as well use šířka, výška, hloubka. When the size comes from a variant option, each variant sends its own, so a rug sold in three sizes gets three sets of dimensions.

Feedflock reads the size the way people write it: 160 × 230 cm, 160x230, 160 cm × 230 cm, or Ø 40 cm for a round table with the single name průměr. The unit comes from the value, otherwise from the Unit column, and cm when that is empty too. A value with more or fewer numbers than there are names sends none of them, so a product never goes out with a width but no length.
