Hinnavaatlus.ee: our first channel for Estonia
Estonia's oldest price comparison site is in the gallery. Hinnavaatlus sent us its XML schema, answered our questions on a sample feed, and the template follows their answers.
Hinnavaatlus.ee has compared prices in Estonia since 1997. It publishes no merchant documentation page, so we asked: Hinnavaatlus sent its XML schema and a sample, and our sample price list passed their own validator.
Their answers shaped the template. An e-shop states a delivery time such as 2-3tp, because Hinnavaatlus allows "in stock" only for goods in a shop's own store in Estonia. Code carries the manufacturer's code, never the shop's own SKU, since offers are matched by GTIN and then by Code. A barcode the schema cannot read is left out instead of failing the whole file.
Estonia also gets its own shortlist in the gallery: Google Shopping, Meta, Hinnavaatlus, TikTok and Pinterest. Hinnavaatlus lists VAT-registered Estonian companies, and a shop joins by sending a request from its company e-mail.
