CHECK24 Home & Living feed for Shopify

CHECK24 fetches a merchant-hosted file at a URL: you upload your CSV to your own (FTP) server and paste the link into the Merchant Center, optionally with a username and password, or you upload the file directly at CHECK24. CSV is the documented shape, with Excel (XLSX) and gzip- or zip-compressed variants accepted, four delimiters to choose from and UTF-8 as the requested encoding. Feedflock renders exactly this file (semicolon-separated, UTF-8) and regenerates it every hour on a stable URL. CHECK24 publishes no fetch interval and no item cap; it only asks that the feed always be current.

What happens after the file arrives is not automatic. Onboarding has three steps (register and deposit your business data, submit product data for review, process a test order and have the account activated), and CHECK24's content team builds the listings from your data. Orders come back out of band: in the Merchant Center and by e-mail, via FTP or API, or through one of 24 named interface partners. Feedflock produces the feed; it does not handle orders.

There is no versioned spec document. What CHECK24 publishes is a 93-column template file, the Feed Checker's validators and a feed guide, and together they show an importer that does not gate on exact spellings. Headers are normalised and matched against a per-field alias table (brand also answers to marke, offer_id to sku or artikelnummer), unrecognised columns are guessed from their content, and anything left over can be mapped by hand. The guide adds that the import is AI-supported and that the column set is open to extra columns.

That is how the same feed screen can also accept the offer feeds of idealo, billiger.de and guenstiger.de. Feedflock's template still writes CHECK24's own spellings verbatim, including the irregular ones like EAN (GTIN14), HS-Code, Bildlink_1 and EPREL_registration_number, because a verbatim header is the best case: every column maps one-to-one, with nothing guessed and nothing to fix by hand.

Two CHECK24 artefacts define the required set, and the newer one is longer: the Merchant Center's table names eight fields, the Feed Checker adds brand and stock. The price is the gross price in euro including VAT, written with a comma decimal and no currency symbol (49,00), though the Feed Checker's validator accepts a dot as well. The delivery time is parsed, not free text: a number or range plus a unit such as Werktage or Wochen, or an instant phrase like sofort lieferbar.

The shipping type is where feeds fail quietly: CHECK24 accepts exactly two values, paket and spedition. Up to roughly 30 kg is a parcel, anything larger or heavier is freight. The Merchant Center's own footnote names Briefsendung, Paketversand and Speditionsversand, and none of those spellings passes the Feed Checker. Feedflock's default is paket. If you ship from a warehouse outside Germany, the eight-digit HS-Code and the weight become required as well.

CHECK24 is a Direktkauf marketplace: the customer buys on CHECK24 and the order is passed to you, which is why the deeplink column is optional and there is no click-out to guarantee. Billing is commission-only at 12 %, with free registration, no fixed costs and no minimum term. The assortment is gated: new Home & Living goods, a VAT ID from the country you ship from, and all product information in German. Used or B-grade goods may not be sold at all, so the feed has no condition column.

Content rules are published and checked: the main image is a cut-out of at least 800 × 600 px on a clean background, without logos, watermarks or prices, and the description is German, at least 100 characters, without advertising, external links or variant hints. Shipping is split between the feed and the portal: every row carries paket or spedition, while the cost can be a per-row column (then it must be filled on every row) or flat rates, a multi-item rule and a free-shipping threshold configured in the Merchant Center.
