Domodi feed for Shopify
Domodi.pl and Allani.pl are Grupa Domodi's Polish fashion aggregators, and a single product feed lists you on both. Domodi accepts only the Google Merchant Center XML format, with its own rules on top, from a size on every item to prices written as 219.00 PLN. Feedflock turns your Shopify catalog into exactly that feed and regenerates it every hour, so the file Domodi fetches each night is always current.

Your product types. The channel's categories.
Domodi publishes no category tree of its own. g:product_type carries your shop's category path, and it has to be precise: a bare “shoes” or a brand name slows down or blocks placement. Feedflock's category mapper builds a full path for each Shopify product type from Google's taxonomy. One mapping covers every product of that type, including products you add later.
A discount in the feed becomes the promotional price on the listing.
Domodi reads both prices from the feed: g:price is the regular price and g:sale_price the promotional one, and the sale price must be lower, a rule even the sample in Domodi's own spec PDF got backwards. Feedflock sends the Shopify compare-at price as the regular price and the discounted variant price as g:sale_price, only for products that are actually on sale. Remove the compare-at price and the promotion leaves the feed.
Catch feed issues before Domodi does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.
Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Get in touch with Grupa Domodi
Start at grupadomodi.pl: cooperation begins with their team (the “Zamów prezentację” form), and questions go to pomoc@domodi.pl. What they need from you is a product feed URL.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Pick the Domodi template
Create a new feed and choose Domodi. The output is Google Merchant Center RSS 2.0, one item per variant, with the required set (id, title, description, link, image_link, availability, price, product_type, brand and size) mapped from the start.
Map your categories
Domodi reads your shop's own category path in g:product_type and wants it precise. A generic “shoes” or a brand name slows down or blocks placement. The category mapper builds a full path for each product type and the coverage check lists what is left.
Paste the feed URL
Hand the hosted feed URL to Domodi. They fetch the file daily, around midnight, and Feedflock regenerates it as often as every hour. A file generated once and never updated is on Domodi's own list of common errors.

One feed, two fashion portals
The same XML file lists your products on both of Grupa Domodi's aggregators, Domodi.pl and Allani.pl. You maintain one feed; both portals read it.
A fashion-only audience
Domodi and Allani are built around clothing, shoes and accessories, and products are found by the producer's name among other attributes. Shoppers arrive looking for a garment, not a generic product grid.
Google's format, Domodi's rules
If you have ever built a Google Merchant Center feed, the shape is familiar, and the differences are what decide whether products list: a required size, the spaced “in stock”, a precise category path, at least three photos per product.
The feed
- The Domodi template writes Google Merchant Center RSS 2.0 exactly as the spec's sample: title, description and link without the g: prefix, everything else g:-prefixed
- The whole required set is mapped from the start: g:id from the variant SKU with the variant ID as fallback, the plain product title, the description stripped of HTML into CDATA, g:brand from your vendor
- One item per variant grouped by g:item_group_id, with the size option in the required g:size
- Every item deep-links to its own variant (?variant=), so no two items share a URL, an error Domodi names outright
- Prices in Domodi's form, amount + PLN: the regular price in g:price and a real discount in g:sale_price, never the other way round
- Availability spelled Domodi's way (“in stock” with a space), and a sold-out variant goes out as “out of stock”, never marked available
- Empty required values (brand, size, product_type) are flagged at generation, before Domodi's nightly fetch reads the file
Deep dive
How the Domodi feed works
- One Google Merchant Center
XMLfile on a publicURL. Domodi accepts no other format - Domodi fetches the file daily, around midnight
- The same file serves both Domodi.pl and Allani.pl
- Feedflock hosts the file on a stable
URLand regenerates it every hour
Technical details
Domodi is explicit about the format: “we only accept Google Merchant Center XML formats”. The file is RSS 2.0 with Google's g: namespace (title, description and link stay plain RSS elements, everything else carries the g: prefix), with one item per product variant, on a public URL that Domodi fetches once a day, around midnight.
One feed covers both of Grupa Domodi's portals, Domodi.pl and Allani.pl. Feedflock hosts the file on a stable URL and regenerates it as often as every hour, so the nightly fetch always reads current prices and stock, and you never end up with the one-off file that Domodi's error list warns against.
The elements Domodi requires
- Required: g:id, title, description, link, g:image_link, g:availability, g:price, g:product_type, g:brand and g:size
- g:gtin is required for every product that has a manufacturer-assigned number (in Europe a 13-digit
EAN) - g:age_group only for children's products, g:adult only for adult content
- Prices as amount +
PLN(“219.00PLN”); availability spelled “in stock” with a space
Technical details
Domodi's spec table marks ten elements as required for Fashion and Beauty alike: id, title, description, link, image_link, availability, price, product_type, brand and size. GTIN is required for every product that has one assigned by the manufacturer (a 13-digit EAN in Europe), so it stays empty only on products that genuinely have none. Age group is required only for children's products and the adult flag only where it applies, which is why the template maps neither by default.
Values follow the spec's spelling: a price is the amount, a space and PLN; availability is “in stock” with a space. The description is plain text. Domodi strips HTML itself, and the template strips it first, into CDATA.
Variants, links and images
- Every variant is its own item; siblings share one g:item_group_id
- The link must be unique per item. The template deep-links each variant
- At least three different photos per product, each at most 4000 × 4000 px and 5 MB
- The main photo shows the product alone on a plain light background, with no watermarks, logos or marketing text
Technical details
A product sold in several sizes appears once per size: each variant is its own item with a stable g:id, and all of them share a g:item_group_id so Domodi links them as one product. Size itself is a required element, one value per item.
Domodi is strict about two things shops often get wrong. The link must lead straight to the product page and must be unique, which is why the template deep-links every variant with its ?variant= parameter. And every product should carry at least three different photos: the main one of the product alone on a plain light background, without watermarks or logos, each image at most 4000 × 4000 px and 5 MB.
Domodi's own list of common mistakes
- Malformed
XMLand a missing required element top the list - Unavailable products marked as available, links without http://, one
URLshared by different products - A category too general (“Buty” instead of “Buty/Buty męskie/Wizytowe”) slows down or blocks placement
- A file generated once and never updated is the last item on the list
Technical details
Grupa Domodi's landing page names the mistakes they see most: broken XML, a required element left out, an unavailable product marked as available, a link missing the protocol, the same URL on different products, a repeated ID, a category too general to place, and a feed generated once and never refreshed.
Most of these the template removes by construction: every value is XML-escaped, the required set is pre-mapped, sold-out variants go out as “out of stock”, Shopify URLs are absolute and every variant gets its own link, and the feed regenerates on schedule. What remains is judgement: a precise category path and good photos, and that is what the mapping and the health check are for.
The takeaway
One URL, an hourly refresh and a template that already speaks Domodi's Google Merchant Center XML, sizes, variant links and all. Your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth, and both Domodi.pl and Allani.pl list its current state.
