Kaufland feed for Shopify
Kaufland Global Marketplace, the former real.de, is one seller account selling on nine European storefronts, from Kaufland.de to Kaufland.cz. It is a catalogue marketplace: each product exists once per EAN, and what you own is the offer attached to it. Feedflock builds both files Kaufland asks for from your Shopify catalog (the product data CSV and the paired offers CSV with price, stock and handling time) and regenerates them every hour.

Your product types. The channel's categories.
The channel files offers under its own category tree. Feedflock suggests a category for each Shopify product type and you just confirm. One mapping covers every product of that type, including products you add later.
Catch feed issues before Kaufland does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.
Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Set up your Kaufland seller account
Register in the Kaufland Seller Portal, add at least one shipping group and a default warehouse. Kaufland creates no offer until a shipping group exists.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Create the product data feed
Choose the Kaufland template and the storefront. ean, locale, title, description, manufacturer and the main picture with its alt text are mapped, and the locale follows the storefront: cs-CZ for Kaufland.cz, de-DE for Kaufland.de.
Schedule the product data upload
In the Seller Portal's automatic product data upload, enter the hosted feed URL and the exact import time. Kaufland reviews new product data, which can take hours or days.
Add the offers feed for the same storefront
Create a Kaufland Offers feed for that storefront: price in integer cents of its currency, stock count, condition, handling time and VAT class. Import it in the Seller Portal or hand its URL to the Seller API's inventory import.

Nine storefronts, one account
One seller registration reaches Kaufland in Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Offers linked by the same SKU keep their stock in sync across storefronts, while prices stay per storefront.
Write once, translated for free
Kaufland offers free automatic translation of your product data into its other storefronts. Write the content in one national language; on the other storefronts you only upload offers.
Variant groups built for you
Kaufland groups products into variants itself, from attributes such as colour and size. There is no group ID to maintain. Complete attributes are all it takes.
The feed
- The Kaufland template writes the product data file as the spec asks: semicolon CSV, UTF-8, header line, one row per variant, every cell quoted so a semicolon in a title never shifts a column
- Kaufland's mandatory set is mapped out of the box: ean, locale, title, description, manufacturer, and picture.url with the product title as its alt text
- Locale and currency follow the storefront you pick: cs-CZ and CZK for Kaufland.cz, de-DE and EUR for Kaufland.de, pl-PL and PLN for Kaufland.pl
- The Kaufland Offers template converts prices to integer cents and sends condition as Kaufland's integer code, with handling time and VAT class preset
- Sold-out variants stay in the offers file with count 0, so Kaufland pauses the offer instead of deleting it in the full replace
- Both files carry the same product selection, so no offer points at an EAN missing from your product data, and a readiness check flags empty mandatory fields first
Deep dive
Product data and offers are two files
- Product data is one shared record per
EAN, the same for every seller - Your offer carries your price, stock, condition and handling time on one storefront
- Product data has to be imported and pass review before an offer can go live
- The files pair on
EAN; an offer without product data lands in the EANs-not-found report
Technical details
Kaufland keeps product data (one record per EAN, shared by every seller) apart from your offer: your price, stock, condition and handling time on one storefront. Product data has to be imported and pass Kaufland's review first; only then can an offer go live.
The two files pair on the EAN, and an offer whose EAN has no product data lands in the Seller Portal's “EANs not found” report. Feedflock builds both files from the same product selection, so the pair always matches.
The product data CSV
- Semicolon separators,
UTF-8, a header line of attribute names - Every row carries a locale, with content in the storefront's national language
- ean, title, description, manufacturer and picture are mandatory in every category
- Title up to 512 characters, 50 to 80 recommended; the description may carry
HTML
Technical details
The product data file is CSV with semicolon separators, UTF-8 encoding and a header line of attribute names. Every row carries a locale, and Kaufland wants the content in the storefront's national language: German for Kaufland.de, Czech for Kaufland.cz.
ean, title, description, manufacturer and picture are mandatory in every category. The title is capped at 512 characters with 50 to 80 recommended, the description may carry HTML, and image alt text has been a legal requirement since June 2025, and the template sends the product title as alt text.
Offers: cents, condition codes and VAT classes
- price is the integer number of cents in the storefront's currency, so 129000 is 1 290 Kč
- condition is an integer code: 100 new, 200–500 used, 110–140 refurbished
- vat_indicator is a rate class, and the same class means different rates per storefront
- Each import replaces your whole offer list on one storefront
Technical details
The offers file has its own vocabulary. price is the integer number of cents in the storefront's currency (EUR, CZK or PLN), so 129000 on Kaufland.cz is 1 290 Kč. condition is an integer code, 100 for new goods, and vat_indicator is a rate class rather than a percentage: reduced_rate_1 is 7 % on Kaufland.de but 19 % on Kaufland.sk.
Each import replaces your whole offer list on that storefront, and anything not in the file is deleted there. That is why a sold-out variant has to stay in the file with count 0. The offer pauses and comes back with the stock.
Attributes decide how products group
- Colour, size and material are category-specific attributes such as clothing_size or shoe_size
- They must be complete for Kaufland to group products into variants
- Unknown column names are stored as user-defined attributes, not rejected
- Extra data from your Shopify metafields always has a column to go in
Technical details
Colour, size and material are category-specific attributes (Kaufland names size per category, such as clothing_size or shoe_size), and they must be complete for Kaufland's algorithm to group products into variants.
Unknown column names are accepted as user-defined attributes and stored rather than rejected, so extra data from your Shopify metafields, such as material composition for textiles, always has a column to go in.
Shipping lives in the Seller Portal
- Shipping costs, free-shipping limits, carriers and regions are set as shipping groups in the portal
- The offers file only carries handling_time, in working days until hand-over to the carrier
- Delivery time shown to buyers is handling time plus the shipping group's transport time
- Your Shopify shipping rates do not travel in either file
Technical details
Nothing about shipping cost travels in the feed. Shipping costs, free-shipping limits, carriers and delivery regions are set up as shipping groups in the Seller Portal; a group marked as default applies to all your offers.
The offers file carries handling_time (working days until the order is handed to the carrier, 0 for same day), and Kaufland adds the shipping group's transport time to show the delivery date. Your Shopify shipping rates are not part of either file.
The takeaway
One product data URL and one offers file per storefront, regenerated every hour from templates that already speak Kaufland's CSV. Your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth for both halves of every listing.
