Salidzini.lv feed for Shopify
Salidzini.lv is Latvia's largest shop and product search engine, by its own count 47,000 visitors a day and 1.3 million a month. It is a comparison engine, not a marketplace: your shop keeps the checkout and Salidzini sends the clicks. Its whole specification is one public page, and Feedflock's template is written against it: every element name, the three required values and the per-carrier delivery vocabulary included.

Setup
Live in five steps
From a bare Shopify store to a listed offer: the whole setup fits into one coffee break.
Apply for registration
Register through Salidzini's application form with the company named in your shop's purchase terms. Two things to know up front: the shop name and domain can never be changed afterwards, and a Salidzini.lv banner must sit on your shop page.
Install Feedflock
Add Feedflock from the Shopify App Store. It reads your products, variants, stock and images directly through the Shopify API.
Pick the Salidzini.lv template
The three required elements are mapped from the start: name as product title plus variant, link as the variant URL so no address repeats, price as the final EUR price with a decimal point. brand and ean fill from vendor and barcode.
Enter your delivery rates
Each Latvian carrier (Omniva, DPD Pickup, Latvijas Pasts, Pasta Stacija, Circle K, Venipak) is its own element, and none is filled by default: a default of 0 would advertise free delivery. Enter your real rates, or leave an element empty, which Salidzini reads as "no information".
Validate and hand over the URL
Paste the hosted feed URL into Salidzini's own validator on the shops_info.php page; it needs no account. The file must answer within five minutes and be regenerated at least daily; Feedflock does both on a stable URL.

Catch feed issues before Salidzini.lv does.
Before every generation Feedflock checks that every field the channel requires is filled, and, on templates verified against the channel's own spec, that the values fit its rules. Most problems are fixed with one click, without editing products in Shopify.

Where Latvia searches for products
Salidzini.lv calls itself Latvia's largest internet shop search tool, with 47,000 visitors a day and 1.3 million a month. Shoppers compare offers there and click through to your checkout, so the order stays yours.
Every variant its own offer
There is no item id on Salidzini: the link is the offer's identity, and one product may be listed only once. Feedflock sends one item per variant, each with its own variant URL, so sizes and colours compete individually and no URL repeats.
Delivery compared per carrier
Six Latvian carriers are feed elements of their own, next to the cheapest-in-Latvia and maximum-to-Riga aggregates and working-day counts. A shop with honest parcel-machine prices competes on the number Latvian shoppers actually sort by.
The feed
- A template written against Salidzini's own shops_info.php page: a <root> with one <item> per variant, free text in CDATA exactly as the spec allows
- The three required elements mapped from the start: name as product title plus variant, link as the variant URL, price as the final EUR price with a decimal point
- <image> goes out on every item, empty when the product has no picture, the one element Salidzini wants present even then
- in_stock is your Shopify inventory clamped at 0, so an oversold variant never sends a negative count
- Six Latvian carrier elements plus the delivery_latvija and delivery_cost_riga aggregates and three day counts, all left empty until you enter real rates
- The readiness check lists every required element that comes out empty before you paste the URL into Salidzini's own validator
Deep dive
How Salidzini.lv reads your feed
- One
UTF-8XMLfile on a publicURL, generated automatically by a script - Refreshed at least once a day; Salidzini re-reads it regularly and updates its product database daily
- The
URLmust answer within five minutes - Feedflock hosts the file on a stable
URLand regenerates it as often as every hour
Technical details
Salidzini's model is the hosted file: one UTF-8 XML on a public URL, generated automatically and refreshed at least once a day, with the URL answering within five minutes. Salidzini re-reads the file regularly and rebuilds its shop and product database every day. There is no upload, no SFTP and no API.
Feedflock hosts the file on a stable URL and regenerates it on your schedule, as often as every hour, so the five-minute response and the daily refresh are covered by default. One caveat worth knowing: Salidzini also offers to build the XML for shops itself, from 2 EUR a month. If a merchant says they "already have a Salidzini feed", it may be that scraper, not a feed the shop controls.
Three required elements and a name that behaves
- Only name, link and price are marked "Obligāta vērtība"; everything else is optional or conditional
- Names carry brand, model and code, never promo text like "Super cena" or "Bezmaksas piegāde"
- Links must be full-form URLs on the registered domain, which cannot change after registration
- The price is final:
EUR,VATand every extra cost in, delivery out, decimal point
Technical details
Salidzini's tag table marks exactly three elements as required: name, link and price. The name has rules beyond its 200-character cap: it must carry the brand or manufacturer, the model and the code, and it may not carry advertising phrases ("Ir uz vietas", "Bezmaksas piegāde", "Super cena", "Jaunums") or machine-translated filler. The same ban on generic words applies to category_full.
The link must be a full-form URL on the domain you registered with. Since the shop name and domain can never be changed after registration, a hostname migration is a conversation with Salidzini, not just a feed edit. The price is the final price a private person pays, in EUR with a decimal point, VAT and all extra costs in, delivery out, and it must match what your own product page shows.
A stock count, not an availability label
- in_stock is the number of units deliverable to Riga within 4 working days
- The count must match what your product page shows
- Only products with delivery terms of 30 days or less belong in the file
- Alcohol and tobacco may not be in the feed at all
Technical details
Most comparison engines want an availability label; Salidzini wants a number. in_stock is the count of units in your warehouse that can be delivered to Riga within four working days, and the same number must appear on your shop's product page. For a Latvia-based shop with one warehouse that is simply the stock level; Feedflock sends your Shopify inventory, clamped at 0 so an oversold variant never goes out as a negative count.
Two assortment rules are the merchant's to keep: only products whose delivery terms do not exceed 30 days may be in the file, and alcohol and tobacco products are forbidden outright. Used, refurbished, demo or damaged goods must carry used with the value 1, sellers of intimate goods must send adult, and pharmacies mark non-prescription products with over_the_counter_medicine. The template has a place for each.
Delivery is six carriers, each its own element
- No delivery block and no carrier code: the carrier is the element name (Omniva,
DPDPickup, Latvijas Pasts, Pasta Stacija, Circle K, Venipak) - delivery_latvija is your cheapest Latvian rate, delivery_cost_riga the maximum to a Riga address
- delivery_days_latvija has arithmetic in it: take the guaranteed upper end of each method, then send the smallest
- An empty element means "no information", the opposite of engines that read it as "not offered"
Technical details
Salidzini has no delivery block and no carrier codes: each of six Latvian carriers is its own numeric element with that product's price for that method. Two aggregates sit next to them: delivery_latvija, the cheapest of everything you offer in Latvia, and delivery_cost_riga, the maximum this product can cost to deliver to a Riga street address.
The day counts have one trap: delivery_days_latvija is the smallest guaranteed day count, and Salidzini's own example takes the upper end of each method's range first. 4–7 days by courier and 3–5 by parcel machine means sending 5, not 3 and not 7. Every delivery element is optional, and an empty one explicitly means "no information", so the template fills none of them by default: a default of 0 would advertise free delivery for every shop.
The takeaway
One public URL, a five-minute answer time and a daily refresh: that is Salidzini.lv's whole ask, plus a template that already speaks its element vocabulary. Your Shopify catalog stays the single source of truth, and Latvia's product search always sees the prices, stock and delivery terms your shop page shows.
